David C. Weinberg

I am the senior attorney of the Palo Alto, CA firm of The Law Office of David C. Weinberg. I maintain a full spectrum Family Law practice specifically devoted to non-litigation alternatives: Collaborative Practice, Mediation, and Consultation. I have been certified as a Family Law Specialist by the California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization, since 1980. I am a founding member and past president of Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley (CPSV) [formerly the Collaborative Law Association] and the Association of Collaborative Law Attorneys, and am a participating member of Collaborative Practice San Mateo County (CPSMC), the San Francisco Bay Area Collaborative Group, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

The focus of my practice is assisting couples going through separation and divorce to find resolutions for their issues without the trauma and expense of adversary Court proceedings. I bring to this process a background of 50 years of Law practice, 40 years of Family Mediation experience, and 25 years of sitting as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Family Court of two Peninsula Bay Area Counties. I am also a trainer and lecturer on Collaborative Practice and Family Mediation throughout California.
