About Lydia

Lydia E. Crandall is a Collaborative attorney. She has practiced family law exclusively since her admission to the Bar in 2008. Lydia trained in Collaborative practice in 2011 and joined CPSMC the following year. Lydia is a former chair of the organization and currently serves as treasurer.

Lydia handles a variety of family law matters including dissolution of marriage cases, post-judgment support and custody modifications, as well as premarital and postmarital agreements. In addition to Collaborative Practice, Lydia serves as a mediator in family law disputes and represents clients in litigation.

Lydia was named a Northern California Rising Star every year between 2009 and 2019 and as a Super Lawyer in 2020 by Super Lawyers Magazine. She served as Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association in 2010 and as Chair in 2011. Lydia is a contributing author to the California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) book, “California Child Custody Litigation and Practice,” and its annual updates. Lydia has also co-authored articles on  disclosure obligations and attorney’s fees and sanctions in family law cases.
