About Kimberly
Ms. Madigan was selected to Super Lawyers in 2019, 2020, and 2021. This is a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in Northern California. Prior to this, she was named a “Rising Star” in family law by Super Lawyers on the basis of peer recognition and professional achievement for years 2012-2015.
Ms. Madigan is currently serving as the President of the Board of Collaborative Practice of California (CP Cal) and formerly served as the Chair for Collaborative Practice San Mateo County (CPSMC). She previously served as the Chair of the San Mateo County Bar Association, Family Law Section (2015).
This is Ms. Madigan’s 19th year of law practice. Ms. Madigan has been practicing family law exclusively since 2006. Ms. Madigan litigates complex family law matters both in public court and with private judges. She also practices collaborative law – a private, out-of-court process for resolving divorce cases. Ms. Madigan’s mediation training and extensive experience working on collaborative divorce cases enables her to facilitate cooperation and mutual agreement between her clients and opposing parties.
Ms. Madigan takes a holistic approach to her divorce cases and helps her clients stay focused on their goals without getting overwhelmed by their stress and intense emotions. She is a strong advocate who takes the time to get to know her clients and give each case the personalized attention it deserves. She works to find creative solutions for her clients’ family law problems in order to help them transition to the next phase of their lives.
