Kathy Campbell, ESQ.

Certified Family Law Specialist

About Kathy (she/her/hers)

As a Certified Family Law Specialist* who has been practicing family law for 20 years, Kathy knows litigation is not a one-size-fits-all process. Kathy helps families who seek more say in the outcome of their divorce and a process more tailored to their families’ unique needs, all of which are often better done out of court. Drawn to work with LGBTQI+ families, especially when gender is a predominate part of family conversations, she serves families across the bay area as a mediator, mediation consulting attorney, a collaborative attorney, and prepares pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements (in or out of a collaborative process). She is a proponent of using “Our Family In Two Homes” to help families better prepare for and make the transitions required for post-divorce life or to help couples strengthen their marriages as they prepare their pre- or post-nuptial agreements.

She is on the Collaborative Practice California Board of Directors and is the 2023 President Elect. She also serves as the Collaborative Practice California Co-chair of the Public Education and Divorce Options® Committees and is a member of the Divorce With Respect WeekTM Committee. She was responsible for obtaining the City of San Jose’s Divorce With Respect WeekTM proclamation. She is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and a member of IACP’s Class of 2022, Leadership Academy. Kathy is a frequent presenter of Divorce Options®, a workshop helping families better understand their divorce process choices and to better prepare for divorce in California.
